This Chieftain Hybrid utilises a variant of the JIA re-designed chassis employing independent and user-adjustable suspension all around allied with upgraded OEM braking and rack & pinion steering for a more modern and confidence inspiring feel.
ELECTRIC / PLUG IN HYBRID DRIVETRAIN
The electric element of the drivetrain utilises a JIA bespoke twin motor drive to the front wheels and provides both capable performance and a practical range on it’s own via a 66 KW/H battery. Ideal for extended urban use or just for when the most subtle mode of travel is desired.
6.2L 460 BHP Internal combustion V8 integration
Available to switch “on the fly” between EV only, V8 only or both together, the latest generation of “E-Rod” GM V8 complies with US emissions regulations and offers excellent efficiency as well as lively performance either on it’s own in RWD mode or combined with the EV drivetrain for AWD use on or off road. Mode switching is seamless and available to the driver at the touch of a control. The simplicity and effectiveness of the user control systems are a considerable achievement by JIA and are unique within the retro-modernised vehicle industry.
