Building on the established Chieftain principles of renewal, radical re-engineering and discrete luxury, the Chieftain Electric is possibly the finest retro-EV conversion available. No holds were barred in pursuit of fulfilling the client brief and delivering OEM levels of performance & range in the guise of a Classic Range Rover.
SUBTLY BUT EFFECTIVELY RE-ENGINEERED CHASSIS FOR BETTER RIDE AND HANDLING
For the Chieftain EV, live axles were retained but steering, suspension and control dramatically improved to complement the enhanced performance which is… electric! Braking was naturally upgraded with powerful new calipers and larger discs all round, all managed via a modern ABS braking system and aided by driver-adjustable regenerative braking.
CAREFULLY CRAFTED AND SPECIFIED ANCILLARY SYSTEMS
With no Internal combustion engine to provide power, Control, HVAC, audio, braking, lighting & charging systems were all carefully redesigned for improved performance over the original, complementing the luxury theme of the Chieftain EV
JIA BESPOKE ELECTRIC POWER TRAIN
Rather than risking compromise through a retro-fitment of existing EV drivetrain, JIA partnered with top specialists in the UK and Europe to design and install a triple motor AWD system powered by 120KWH of battery capacity, all packaged for minimal intrusion into the cabin space. Levels of noise, performance and range are exceptional. Possibly the most effective retro-EV on the market.

Unmistakably based on the original classic dash Range Rover interior, but with no single item left unimproved, the Chieftain EV cabin exudes class and luxury, as befitting the cars status as the best of the best.
RESTRAINED EXTERIOR DESIGN UPGRADES
Subtlety being key to the design brief here, at first glance the exterior looks standard, however, a second look reveals details such as the all black door handles and deletion of side mouldings. All carefully considered elements to clean up the look and show off the immaculate grey paint.
